Teachers, Student Support Team - Learning Assistance Teacher
I am excited to join the team and be the new Learning Assistant Teacher (LAT) in the morning and grade two teacher in the afternoon. I proudly began my career in Red Deer and I have been a teaching since 1998. I recently completed a master's degree through the University of Alberta. I am a student-centered teacher who believes that my role is to help children recognize their individual strengths and talents. I have a growth mindset and my goal is to provide a rich learning environment that is inclusive, engaging and will accommodate all students’ learning styles. I look forward to continued growth and success as I learn to master the MicroSociety at Aspen Heights Elementary School. For me teaching is a labour of love and also a privilege to serve the community, work and learn from other professionals and support the diversity of students throughout Red Deer Public School District.
